Blessing of the Animals,
October 2, 2016 Following a tradition inspired by St. Francis of Assisi, we gather each year in October with those furry, feathered, finned and scaled. The animals of the world are in our care and we are thankful for their companionship and example of God's creation. After our traditional worship service in the sanctuary, we come together with our pets so they, too, can be blessed. What gifts they are to us! |
