The Youth and Family Programs at South Freeport Church are organized and implemented by our Christian Education Committee in partnership with our Christian Education Director and Minister. Striving to create a safe, fun, and welcoming space for children and families, together we build community, teach about the way of Jesus, and apply lessons of love to our lives as we journey with God and grow in faith.
We Welcome families of all types, and kids of all ages!
Children are always welcome to be their authentic selves -noises, wiggles and all- at South Freeport Church! In our sanctuary we have a "prayground" area, stocked with books and a few toys which may provide some interest while little ones are in the sanctuary. Kids and Youth are welcome and invited to attend all of the worship service in the sanctuary if they choose, or attend our Nursery, Children's Church, or Middle School Youth Group at a specified time during worship.
Little Lambs: We offer Nursery care for little ones aged birth to around 3 years old. Parents are invited to come and go as needed in the Nursery room which is near the sanctuary with an audio broadcast of the worship service in the room. Parents are welcome to stay in the nursery with their child if they wish, or trust their child to the care of our qualified nursery attendants, Ella and/or Chloe. Children's Church: After our Time for Young Disciples during worship kids aged preschool to Grade 5 may leave with our teachers for a short time of exploration. We offer two multi-age classes: THE FLOCK: Pre-k through Grade 2 or 3 (student's choice). THE SHEPHERDS: Grade 2 or 3 (student's choice) through Grade 5. Parents are welcome to come with their children, or enjoy the rest of worship and the sermon in the sanctuary. Parents can meet their children in the meeting rooms or at Fellowship Time after worship. If you have questions about our children's programs please contact the church office and leave a message on the phone 207-865-4012, or email Beth at [email protected]. |
At South Freeport Church, children and youth are celebrated for who they are, and invited to take part in all aspects of worship and learning.

YOUTH MINISTRY:
Middle School Youth Group:
Middle School Youth are invited to come upstairs with Ms. Beth after the Time for Young Disciples during worship to be a part of our Middle School Youth Group. Designed to be a safe and welcoming space, MSYG is an opportunity for middle schoolers to forge connections with one another on their journey of self-discovery. Confirmation Class: An opportunity for 8th and 9th graders to explore and grow their faith in community by talking, playing games, having fun and supporting each other. This group meets weekly during the school year with Rev. Sean Patrick and a team of adult advisors. High School Youth Group: We are building towards creating a new High School Youth Group. Let us know if you'd like to be a part of it! |
